For today’s edition I bring you the soothing guitar music in the background of the Ice Fishing mini-game! 😀

First off, thank you to Nate for the request!

To anyone reading this feel free to leave a song request, I will be sure to get to it eventually! Now let’s get into the music.

This tune is different from most songs on CP because it consists of 4 separate sections which play randomly throughout your duration in the game. I labeled the parts as A, B, C, and D on the sheet music. There is no order in which they play, other than that part A always comes first. But after that it appears to be entirely random. For the melody in parts A and B I briefly switch to bass clef when it becomes more convenient, so be sure to keep an eye out for that. Here is the sheet music:

I will be honest, I know nothing about guitar. And given this is a guitar based song, it was difficult for me to understand what is going on when certain techniques exclusive to the guitar are used, such as in measures 29-32, and the chord voicings in general. I was considering just making an arrangement for piano, but it sounded too different because the tones are much richer. Anyways, I think I did a decent job. Here is a video of Noteflight playing the transcription:

And here is a piano tutorial version:

Note: When CPR released their Ice Fishing “revamp”, they also changed the music. They scrapped parts C and D, replaced them with two new parts similar to A and B that I would call A’ and B’, and put them in the order A – A’ – B – B’. Just to be clear, I did the music for the original version of the game (though if anyone wants, I can write out the CPR parts too).

I hope you enjoyed this post!
